Airplanes of different shapes and sizes can be seen all over the world - attracting the attention of visitors. But a plane modeled after a huge whale-like sea creature overshadows everything. The front of the plane is narrow like a whale's mouth and the belly is as usual bloated. Naturally, the shape of this huge plane 'Beluga', made in the shape of a whale, has also caught the attention of the passengers. There was a rush of eager people to see this 'Beluga' at Kolkata's Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport on Sunday.
Its aircraft is modeled after a species of whale named Beluga. It is mainly used for domestic and international cargo transportation. It is much larger in size than other cargo planes. Belugas travel regularly to Europe and the Western world, but not to India.
When a beluga flies in the sky, it looks like a whole whale is flying. By 12:30 pm on Saturday night, this plane was in the name of Kolkata Airport. The purpose is to refuel and rest the aircrew. This beluga was at the Kolkata airport all day on Sunday.
On this day, airport staff as well as passengers get a chance to see this fancy aircraft throughout the day. Many of them took pictures of the plane and posted them on social media, some took selfies.
It is known that this plane came from Ahmedabad to Kolkata for a special reason. 'Akash Timi' landed at the Kolkata airport at around 12.30 pm on Saturday. Later left for Thailand at around nine o'clock at night.
The Kolkata airport also tweeted about the beluga. It is written there 'Tell me who has come! It's whale fish! Beluga is one of the largest aircraft in the world. Landed at Calcutta airport for staff rest and fuel supply'.
